Ty's First Piano Recital
Hi Everyone,
We went to Ty's first piano recital today and I took a video of his recital. It is a long one so you may want to have loads of time on your hands to watch this one. Here it is - the new Liberace.
Then we went to breakfast and discussed his career as a pianist.

Ty Runs 5 KM and beats Mom and Aunt Tara! Yahoo!!
May 28th, 2011,Ty was amazing. Now he is an elite runner in the National Capital Marathon Run. His first try at the 5 KM without any training and he wouldn't stop. He kept weaving through the over 9,000 other runners and Auntie Tara couldn't keep up with him and Mom was afraid she was going to lose him in the crowd.
Auntie Tara and Mom were out for a jog and planned to stop at the water station. Ty wouldn't have any of that and he kept them going. They were worn out and Ty was ready to beat his time for next year.
His chip time was 30.28.6 and he finished 27/74 in the age 8 section - way ahead of Mom and Auntie Tara.
Cooper was there to cheer on Ty.

Ty Rides The Zamboni!
Each Wednesday I pick up Ty at school, take him to Pizza Pizza for a slice and then on to Navan for 4 PM and his hockey. Last Fall we started to fill out the contest to ride the Zamboni at a Senators game, a Senators Jersey and 4 free tickets to the game. By January Ty was tired of signing his name, answering the skill testing question and filling in his address. "Grandpa, we are never going to win."
Grandpa was right again. Check out the video. It is over 8 minutes long and I think I had more fun than Ty.
The Canadian Tire Zamboni was behind Ty's and in the way so I didn't get his name and video on the big screen. They announced his name when they first come on the ice.
